If I could give more than 5 stars, I would definitely do so. In a word, Karen is fantastic! Karen is much more than a photographer; she is an artist. Today, anyone with a mobile phone can take a picture, but very, very few of those people can use a real camera and take a portrait and do it well. Karen is one of those rare finds. She has a way of bringing out the best features in her subjects—hey, she even made me look good! She listens, she is incredibly easy to work with, and she has a special knack of putting her subject at ease as she did with me. I happen to know a few things about photography (I am a serious amateur) and I can tell you is that Karen’s work is impeccable. If you are looking for a true and talented photographer who can take the best possible portrait of you, your kids, your family, your pets, contact Karen. You will be very HAPPY with the final product. If you are an aspiring photographer and looking for direction, advice, design, consultation, critique or a pro looking to take your photography to the next level, your next email/call should be to Karen. She has helped me immensely. Not only does she have the camera and post-processing skills, but she also has that special talent that is very difficult to enhance by watching instructional videos—she has the photographer’s eye. Her critiques were eye-opening. In a very short time, she provided insights, areas of improvement and made me think in different ways with my camera in hand. Her feedback was so valuable and more importantly, inspiring. I have spent countless hours on YouTube and other platforms trying to improve my skills. Nothing compares to the time I spent with Karen.

I pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from both Syracuse University and Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating cum laude from Syracuse.
I've been perfecting my craft ever since. Upon relocating to California, I opened my commercial headshot photography and portrait studio in 2007. I've enjoyed teaching the art of studio lighting, Photoshop techniques and posing & portraiture in workshops in northern California and finally relocating to the Los Angeles area.
Being a Los Angeles headshot photographer is a vital part of my career. As an LA photographer, women’s photography has become important to me as the field is dominated by men, many women feel more comfortable being photographed by a woman on location and in the studio. I’ve become know as the premier photo studio in the Conejo Valley (Photography Studios Near Me).
